AT Services

EVALUATION

Assessment, consultation, and observation from our certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP). Work with students, educators, and others to identify appropriate AT devices and services to help support them at home, school, and in the community.

TRAINING & INTEGRATION

Training is made available to any individual (teacher, caregiver, therapist, parent, etc.) on the use and management of the AT device. Integration is the ability to use AT in a way that produces a desired result. Both are necessary to ensure learning and development.

CUSTOMIZED MATERIALS

We create a program centered around the needs discovered in the evaluation process. We develop individualized, high tech activities to support inclusion and increased participation in the general education environment. If we are unable to find readily available AT options through the district’s current resources, we developed our own custom activities on our program, the FLY Creative Workspace. All activities are designed with input from teachers, parents, therapists, and support staff.

IEP SUPPORT

FLY employs a parent advocate to help with the IEP process. We attend meetings, consult with staff, create goals, and assist in implementing assistive technology into the child’s IEP.

TECHNOLOGY ACQUISITION

Identify and recommend sources for AT and assist with purchase and acquisition. Help schools and districts conceive, write, and apply for AT-related grants.

FLY CREATIVE WORKSPACE

If you already are comfortable with your current AT services but need something simple to use to create, design, and implement the AT recommendations, you can subscribe to the FLY Creative Workspace. Click here to find out more.

FLY provides…

Universal Design for Learning

Provides the opportunity for all students to access, participate in, and progress in the general-education curriculum by reducing barriers to instruction. UDL is not "one size fits all," but precisely the opposite: multiple ways of accessing, expressing, and engaging with information and learning.
